North Bend Senior Center Grant
November 2007 - North Bend Area Community Foundation board members Twila Flamme, Mary Buller, Tom Wolf and Deanna Wolf (standing) present a check to the North Bend Senior Center board President, Bob Nesladek, (standing center) and board members seated left to right Esther Otte, Adeline Hines, Cecilia Powers, Sally Timmons, Duane Emanuel, and Harlan Ladehoff. The $2000.00 grant awarded will be used to purchase a stainless steel can opener and to seal all seams in the concrete parking lot and sidewalk.

North Bend Elementary School "P is for Pallota" Presentation
Several North Bend Elementary School students joined nationally known children's book author, Jerry Pallota, for lunch after his presentation, "P is for Pallota." Mr. Pallota's appearance in North Bend was made possible in part by a $700.00 grant from the NBACF. He spoke to all the students during the morning, tailoring his entertaining presentation to different the age groups. Also pictured are Jim Havelka, NBCPS superintendent, and Karen Ziettlow, elementary principal.
