Detailed List of Scholarship Requirements

The below list describes the requirements for all scholarships available through the Fremont Area Community Foundation.

Al Bahe Scholarship
• Graduates of Fremont High School
• Must have participated in more than one Fremont High athletic team
• May attend a two year vocational/technical program or four year college or university
• Academic success, evidence of participation in extracurricular activities considered
• Financial need considered

Allyssa, Sheldon and Mariah Johnson Scholarship
• Graduates of Fremont High School
• May attend a two year vocational/technical program or four year college or university
• Must pursue a degree serving children under the age of 17 in any field

Bruce Gocken Memorial Business Scholarship
• Resident of Dodge, Saunders or Washington county
• Plans to study business at a 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school
• Financial need considered
• Extra curricular activities considered

Cecil Anderson Vocational Fremont Kiwanis Club Scholarship
• Fremont High or Bergan graduate
• Vocational or trade school study

Cecil Anderson Midland Lutheran College Fremont Kiwanis Club Scholarship
• Must be currently attending Midland Lutheran College

Emmett and Mae Johnson Scholarship
• Graduate must be an outstanding member of the graduating class of Tekamah-Herman High School
• 4 year college or university

Francis G. Conrad Scholarship
• Graduates of Fremont/Dodge County or Saunders, Butler, Douglas or Cuming County
• Will enroll in a 2 or 4 year college or technical program in agricultural science or related studies
• Participation in 4-H considered

Freeman Vocational Fremont Kiwanis Club Scholarship
• Fremont High or Bergan graduate
• Vocational or trade school study

Freeman Midland Lutheran College Fremont Kiwanis Club Scholarship
• Fremont High or Bergan graduate
• Must attend Midland Lutheran College

Fremont Area Art Association Hazel Keene Memorial Scholarship
• Graduating senior from the Fremont and/or Dodge County area
• Must enroll as a college art major or in an art school
• A portfolio is required as part of the application process

Fremont Business and Professional Women’s Scholarship
• Female resident of Dodge County
• May attend a vocational/technical program or four year college or university
• Well rounded individual with evidence of participation in extracurricular activities and community involvement
• Financial need considered

Fremont High School Alumni Student Aid Endowment
• Based on financial need
• Students from Fremont High and the Learning Center are eligible
• Two or four year college
• Scholastic ability considered
• Renewable, must reapply

Fremont Noon Optimist E.V. Vic Nielsen Scholarship
• Must be a Fremont resident attending Fremont High or Bergan
• Will major in any health care profession at a two or four year college, university or technical school

Fremont PTA Scholarship
• Graduate of Fremont High
• Education major at a four year college

Golden K Kiwanis Scholarship
• Graduate of Fremont High or Bergan
• Intended for study at a technical or trade school

H.M. “Micky” Krupinsky Scholarship
• Must have demonstrated interest and ability in Golf
• Graduate of Fremont High or Bergan
• Rank in upper 50% of class
• Must enroll at a four year college or university

Haines Hill Memorial Scholarship
• Fremont High or Bergan student pursuing a degree in business
• Must attend a 4 year college or university

Jamie Charleston Scholarship
• Based on participation in tennis
• Must be a member of the Fremont High School Tennis Team
• Fremont High and Bergan students are eligible
• May attend a two or four year college or university
• Financial need considered

K.S. Farris Memorial Art Scholarship Fund
• Those planning a major in visual art
• Graduating seniors from Dodge, Saunders or Washington county
• May attend a accredited college or art school
• Portfolio is required

Keith Hindmarsh Scholarship
• Graduate of Arlington High School who have participated in the Business Administration program, preferably agri-business
• Pursue a career in agribusiness at a 2 or 4 year college, university or technical school

Loren Nothwehr Scholarship
• Dodge County resident
• Major in human services or sociology or other major that would relate to care of poor, homeless, abused or neglected persons
• Must enroll in a 4 year college or university

Luke Lueschen Memorial Scholarship
• Graduate of Fremont High School majoring in Science, Pre-Dental or Pre-Med
• May attend a two or four year college or university
• Interest in trapshooting/sports
• Financial need considered

Marvin G. Welstead Scholarship
• Fremont High or Bergan student
• Graduating senior
• Upper 25% of class
• Will major in business 4 year college
• Financial need considered

Mary Ellen Wieland Scholarship
• Must have attended Howard Elementary School for at least one year
• Graduate from Fremont High School or Bergan
• Rank in upper 25%
• Major in elementary education at a 4 year college or university

Myra Lesiak Scholarship Fund
• Fremont High, Bergan or Cedar Bluffs High graduate
• High academic achiever who are education and/or music majors at a 4 year college or university

Robert Yanike Music Scholarship
• Graduate of Fremont High
• Must have participated in the Vocal Music Program
• Enroll in any field of study at an accredited college or university

Rodney and Amy Mueller Johnson Scholarship
• One graduate from Fremont High and one from Logan View High School
• Good academic standing
• Scholarships may be used at a vocational, two or four year school
• Financial need will also be considered

Ruth Frederiksen Scholarship
• Graduate of any high school in Dodge County
• Will major in dietetics or nutrition at a 4 year college or university

Sherlock Nursing Scholarship
• Graduate of any high school in Dodge County, or resident of Dodge County
• May be a graduating senior or a student entering nursing study after an interval
• Entering or matriculating in a degree program leading to licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Good scholastic record; evidence of persistence and determination in achieving goals

William Simms Scholarship
• Dodge County resident and/or will graduate from a high school in Dodge County
• Will study any aspect of aviation at a 2 year or 4 year college, trade or technical school
• Financial need
• Academic achievement
