Did you know you can support the Fremont Area Big Give using your IRA? For those with an IRA, a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) can be a simple and tax-efficient way to give.

If you’re considering this option for the May 7 Big Give, we encourage you to start the process soon. Financial institutions can take several days—or even weeks—to issue and mail IRA checks. To ensure your gift is included in Big Give totals and distributed to participating nonprofits in a timely manner, please arrange for your check to arrive at our office as soon as possible so as not to hold up the distribution process for the nonprofits.

If you anticipate your IRA check may not arrive by May 7, we encourage you to contact the nonprofit you’re supporting or reach out to the Fremont Area Community Foundation at 402-721-4252 so we can help ensure your gift is reflected in the Big Give totals.
