Jim Gallant Hope Fund

Grants Available Through the Jim Gallant Hope Fund

Jim Gallant loved colorful ties—he had accumulated between 400 and 500 before he passed. The Jim Gallant Hope Fund reflects his lifelong passion for adding color to the lives of others by empowering vulnerable individuals and creating meaningful change. Jim was a longtime attorney who practiced in both Scribner and Hooper.

The Jim Gallant Hope Fund supports local nonprofit organizations working to restore hope and opportunity in the lives of individuals facing life’s toughest challenges.

Created by Jim’s family and friends, the fund carries forward his lifelong commitment to justice, dignity, compassion, and community. Jim believed in meeting people where they are and giving them opportunities to rebuild and move forward.

Grants are available to support programs that empower vulnerable individuals, with particular consideration given to efforts serving people who have experienced foster care or the juvenile justice system, are unhoused, or are without family support.

Applications are accepted twice a year. The first application deadline is October 31, 2026.
