Foundation helps St. Peter Lutheran church

The North Bend Area Community Foundation granted St. Peter Lutheran Church funds to purchase an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) for placement in the church.

Church member Seth Harrell, an OPPD lineman, had seen an AED save a life and thought it was something that the church should have.

The church memorial fund contributed $500 toward the AED and the Foundation granted $1094.80 to complete the purchase. Harrell, church secretary Heidi Widick and Little Lamb preschool teacher Martha Short have been trained  to use the AED through their jobs.

St. Peter properties chairman Glenn Chvatal said they are arranging training for the whole congregation. Representing the Foundation  were board members Pat Beebe, Deanna Wolf, Diane Hines and Mary Le Arneal.
